We are pleased to introduce a property in Staunton, Virginia that we believe would make a perfect wine storage facility capable of servicing the increasing number of vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley and Charlottesville region.
434 Richmond Avenue, Staunton is a former icehouse constructed in 1911 from solid brick and concrete and designed to maintain a consistently cool temperature. Later, the property served as a location to store food perishables for the Valley.
Even now, the building offers a level of stability and sturdiness that cannot be reproduced in today’s world. The thick concrete walls secure your wine and create a naturally perfect wine cellar. A commercial kitchen has been placed on the first floor and a beautiful outdoor wine tasting or dining experience awaits on the roof overlooking downtown Staunton.
